Dr. Maria Teresa Rosas received her D.D.S. and completed her Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Postdoctoral Residency Training at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá Colombia. For over 14 years, Dr. Rosas focused on severe trauma, facial reconstructive surgery, orthognathic surgery, wisdom teeth extractions and dental implants. In addition, Dr. Rosas served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas Health San Antonio School of Dentistry. Adding to her passion for dentistry, Dr. Rosas received both her Master of Science (M.S.) and Specialty Certificate in Prosthodontics from the University of Iowa School of Dentistry. As a result, Dr. Rosas is among a select group of dentists to hold these two multifaceted specialties enabling her to uniquely diagnose and comprehensively plan even the most difficult patient treatments.
Dr. Rosas has received numerous awards including; the James S. & Janice L. Wefel Memorial Research, 1st Place University of Iowa Postdoctoral Prosthodontics Specialty and 2nd Place University of Iowa Postdoctoral American Dental Association (ADA) Clinical. She speaks both English and Spanish, has published in peer review journals and directed several Institutional Review Board (IRB) projects that have protected patients in clinical trials. In addition to dental implant treatment, Dr. Rosas offers a wide variety of dental services for adults with complex dental needs. These specialty services include full mouth reconstructions (functional makeovers), fixed detachable prosthesis, implant supported crowns, bridges, partials and complete dentures assisted by implants.
